We are looking to hire someone to create and maintain our outdoor skating rink at the Luxton Community Centre. If you have experience with this sort of work, please apply at firstname.lastname@example.org or 582-8249. In addition, if you know how to use a snowblower, some additional work with clearing our sidewalks could be added to the job.

For several months already, the Luxton Community Centre Executive has been working hard, planning our Canada Day Celebration. We have booked a DJ, petting zoo, and a visit from the fire station. We have purchased the permit for fireworks.
The shopping list has been made for the BBQ and candy scramble.
Local businesses have been approached about a donation towards our Silent Auction and there is going to be a great table of items to win.
The fun begins at 3 PM – games and face painting will be available at no cost, plus much more.
Would you please consider volunteering for about 2 hours, to help make this fantastic event happen?
Beforehand, we need about 25 people to help distribute FLYERS AND POSTERS in our neighbourhood between June 18 – 22. I will assign you one or two streets, close to where you live.
In the KITCHEN, we need a total of 15 people to help prepare the plates of food that people will be ordering (5 people per shift: 2:30 – 4:30, 4:30 – 6:00 and 6:00 – 7:30)
On the field, we need a total of 12 people to help with the GAMES (6 stations, 1 person per station per shift: 3:00 – 4:30 and 4:30 – 6:00)
In the Community Centre, we need a total of 6 people to help with FACE PAINTING (2 people per shift: 3:00 – 4:30, 4:30 – 6:00 and 6:00 – 8:00)
All of the supplies will be provided, we just need people to help.
If you are willing to volunteer, please email me back with the area that you are willing to help in and what time slot. There is a sign up sheet at the Community Centre, in the Office, that you could refer to as well.
If you know of anyone else interested in helping, please pass this on to them.
On behalf of the Executive, I thank you in advance for helping make this a great event for our Community!!
